K. Jane Burpee is the Coordinator, Data Curation and Scholarly Communications, McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Since beginning her position she has focused her energy on actively designing and guiding the implementation of library research data curation services and provides outreach and consulting to campus researchers on data curation and scholarly communications issues, including open access, and funding agency requirements.
As she works to set policies and workflows for her unit, she works closely with library staff and others across campus to increase knowledge of research data curation practices and scholarly communication issues.
Before joining McGill, Jane held several positions in libraries in Ontario, Canada and New York, US. Jane is holds a Master of Library and Information Studies (MLIS), McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
