Traci Engel Lesneski

A principal with the US-based architectural firm MSR, Traci’s focus is on design for library and learning environments. She promotes an integrated design approach—equally valuing health and well-being, productivity, sustainability, aesthetics, and delight.

Recently-completed projects led by Traci include a 24/7 visual culture, arts and media creative hub for Haverford College in Pennsylvania, and the renovation of Tulsa, Oklahoma’s Central Library. Traci regularly presents lectures and workshops on library and learning design internationally, including IFLA conferences and the NEXT Library Festival. She was recently keynote speaker for the Public Libraries Western Australia biennial conference, presenting a talk entitled “The Generative Library: Design for Human Well-Being.”

Traci is currently serving as secretary of IFLA’s Library Buildings and Equipment Section, chair of the American Library Association’s Architecture for Public Libraries Committee and was recently named to the American Library Association Sustainability Task Force.
